About:

The 2012 International Tattoo and Art Expo at Claudeland's Event Centre features tattoo artists from USA, Norway, England, Russia, Japan, China, South Africa and Australia, along with some of the best tattoo artists from New Zealand offering Kiwis the chance to be tattooed by some of the world's most sought-after tattooists.

New Zealand-based world body painting champion Yolanda Bertram  paints her live subject into the background - literally - by making them appear to be part of the wall behind them.
Expo visitors will also be able to watch Australian-based, blood painter Dr Rev in action when he paints live using his own blood to create dynamic art pieces that have attracted huge global attention.
Another must-see feature of the weekend-long Expo will be the Miss Tattoo NZ competition, which will be judged by award-winning tattooist and personality Nadine Bryant, aerialist extraordinaire Venus Starr  and Tony Romel, New York based editor of Tattoo Society magazine.

International Tattoo and Art Expo organizer Chris Preece said the Expo will showcase the best local and international tattoo talent, as well as uniting the exciting world of urban street culture under one roof.

"This is one of those rare chances for the public to experience some of the best tattooing talent there is, and see why urban street culture has taken the world by storm," Mr Preece said.

"Many of the exhibiting tattoo artists are booked for months in advance internationally, so it's also a golden opportunity to be tattooed by some of the best around, or just come and watch them at work."
